First off, I just need the question answered, I will take recommendations on different cards, but I don't want to explain why I'm doing this, as it's lenghty.

Okay here goes. I need to replace my video card. Below is my system, and the card I'm looking at. Using both Thermaltake and even Asus watt calculator, I get about 210, and a recommendation o 280, and my system is at 300 right now.

I want to know if I'm doing it right, by having others confirm it's what they get and also see if anyone thinks I should go with a different card.

    Budget $150.00

    My system:

Possible card (using Tiger as I have a $100 gift card)

For those really techi, before you ask, yes I'm getting on of these too.

This is including all your factory hardware and the video card you posted. Also the load used was at 90%. Hope this helps.
I would try it without buying a supply. if shit doesn't work then get one.. LOL.

Well good things come to those that wait.

I hadn't sent in my computer to Asus yet, was still thinking of just buying a new card but was thinking I'd need a new power supply. Well, thanks to Charlie for pointing out this new card, the GTX 750 ti, I can get a new much more powerful card that takes less watts.

My old card was a GT640, which as Charlie, Obama and I looked at is around 75 watts, and this new card will be around 60 watts thanks to the new technology. While it's not a 3GB like the GT 640, the 2GB and better bus will make this card run rings around the 640.
