Detailed Explanation with Screenshots/Demos::

There were five separate admin impersonators on MarioKart just a bit ago. They were spamming the microphone and trolling the entire server. @Patient-0 and @Col. Sheppard were both on the server with me and can corroborate the facts. I believe they were spearheaded by Dandytiger, the guy who was trolling our forums several days ago.

We issued multiple warnings, but they continued to troll and called us fake admins. We had some trouble issuing bans at first since the names in our admin menu were different from what we were seeing on the screen. It appears to me that if you change your name while connected to the server, it updates in Steam, in the admin menu, and on our gameME website, but not actually in-game while connected to the server. I had to compare the scoreboard in-game to the scoreboard on the gameME page for the server in order to figure out which people to ban. After a few painful minutes, I did succeed in issuing 30-minute bans to each of the incessant trolls. Considering Dandytiger has given us trouble before and each of these others were completely out of control, I suggest that all five be permanently banned.​

yes thanks khan i could not find their names in the admin area and did not know what they were going by.... i think that needs fixed so we can know who is who in the future

 

You guys use the sm_admin in console? I take it that is what you mean? I always do it in chat that way I never have issues with that. Chat: !ban playername "60" Which is an hour ban.

Also, I rather get Gotcha & Woodys opinion on this matter before issuing anything. I mean my opinion would be a week ban to all them as a fair warning we will not tolerate that behavior in the future of there game play on our servers. @Woody @Gotcha you guys agree with this or should I issue a perm?
