Detailed Explanation with Screenshots/Demos::

I joined the Orange server, and some guy was doing like a spiderman fan-fiction thing over the mic. I let it go for a while because it was kind of funny, and the other players were getting a kick out of it. But then he started talking about incredibly explicit sexual acts, and some people started to complain. I gave him a warning to stop. He failed to comply, and I set a mute on him, then a gag when he continued typing it in chat. After he rejoined several times under different names and continued, he said he was hacking and I found that he was hijacking other players names to chat over, therefore causing me to mute them wrongly. I found the master account and banned it. Before I could remove the punishments from the other accounts they all left, so if someone could remove silences from these steam ID's it would be appreciated:

Also, if his ban could be set to perm for hijacking usernames that would be great.

I was using comm commands, he wasn't actually speaking through his account. He was using some hack to make it look like other players were talking, although it was still his same voice. The first and correct account that I muted never "spoke" again, only through other players.

 

The only way he would be able to speak through other players is if he was an admin and/or had some kind of cheat engine to let him through Rcon.

Next time also please get a demo of the situation especially with things like these so we can take a look and see exactly what is happening so we can prevent it from doing so again.

I undone the mute/gags you did by mistake. I added a perm mute/gag on crow, but I will not issue a ban unless a demo is provided so if he returns and does it again then please get a demo, thanks!

 

Alright Drac, thanks. I wasn't demoing because I usually don't do that for mic/chat spam, and didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. He said, "You can't stop me, admin, I'm a hacker. So I hope you've learned your lesson." He shut up after that, so starting a demo would've been worthless. But him admitting to hacking tipped me off to what he was doing. I'll be sure to get one next time.

 

Well, thing is @GingaNinja I checked his chat logs and didn't really see anything, so unless it was someone else or the cheat hid what he said there is no evidence. But yeah, in any case or situation I always record everything whether it's chat/voice or whatever that way I know there is always evidence to support the claimed report. I'm not saying you have to, but just a suggestion. Anyways no big deal either way, we'll get him eventually if he decides to do it again.

Well mic spams you don't need a report for, anyone spamming mic you can just gag/mute yourself. I was speaking of which the main reason for this report of him saying he was using a cheat engine and going through other peoples alias to talk.

 

I'm saying that by the time I realized he was hacking, he stopped talking haha.

 

Wow these are not your usual hacks from typical scripts from downloadable hacks, this guy was using other players mics?

So this guy was taking names of players of actually taking their mics. I hope it's the first.

 

Always remember to every so often go to console and type STATUS as it will give you every players info in the server this way you can figure out who is who .

 

Yeah, it's just hard when the person hacking isn't the person whose name is showing as speaking haha! Just a strange situation that I'll be looking out for now! Thanks!

 

@Drac OPZ would it be possible to get a notice in that pinned player watch thread to keep an eye out for this And to record it? We can't be sure that guy didn't make a script and sell it or bought it or who knows. We need to be recording any behavior similar to this
