Unusual Hat Contest Idea

    I was wondering if maybe those who didn't win in the unusual contest for each month could be rewarded Forum Shop points for being in the top 10.They could probably get 1000 or 500 points for participating in each month.Any chance we could somehow implement this?

    That's a great idea! We think 1k per would suffice that way they still get awarded and if they continue to participate they can eventually buy vip an such things.

    Yah nothing is more defeating than loses the top 10 all the time xD. Maybe a little forum points will keep the incentive going!

    Not everyone on the top ten is always on our forums. We could do something along the lines of if you're a VG member in the top 10.

    Well those that are in the top 10 and don't belong on the forum just wont receive the points which isn't our problem if they don't want the free points, but at least we're offering them to the top10. The only other thing would be to give all the top10 winners free vip for half a month (2 weeks) to give them a taste.

    That's a nice Idea but I beleive VIP needs more "Juice" into it I feel they are not enough features to people buy it I buy it.

    I wouldn't "demand it" like that though. There's probably something we can come up with, but nothing is going to get done any faster if you demand for it to be done.

    If you're active player on the server getting on the top10 is a breeze, it really doesn't take that much effort. I really don't see the point in giving away forum credits. With that being said I don't have an issue with giving them forum credits, however I don't have time to do so. If one of the community managers wants to look up each player at the end of the month and attempt to find the corresponding players forum account that's fine with me.

    I can do that, no problem! Probably going to need access to the forum store to be able to give credits though.

    Awesome, I'll be starting to give the appropriate credits away to the top 10 players for the unusual hat contest.

    1k per a person if you're on the top ten at the end of each contest. They must have an account on the forums, if they don't then they miss out and that's on them.

    Do we have this as an auto message on the tf2 servers? If now do you think it would be a good idea to add a server message for the forum points to attract our regular players to our forum?
