BOT AI

tf_bot_difficulty

Defines the skill of bots joining the game.

Syntax

tf_bot_difficulty <level>

Parameters

<level>

Sets the difficulty level for the bots. Values are: 0=easy, 1=normal, 2=hard, 3=expert. Default is "Normal" (1).

Example

tf_bot_difficulty 2 will set all bots created after this command to "Hard" difficulty.

What is the setting on 2fort and can we try/experiment with upping it a level? Thanks.

 

Woody, it would be interesting to see player reaction if you did increase it to hard. I would at least like to see how "hard" mode compares to actual players. Let me know if you do and I will hop on the server.

 

Awesome! I just left the server, had players on it but I will check it probably late tonight or early tomorrow to see what the bots are like.

I was on earlier, seems better but the bots are still very predictable (and yes i know i am talking about bots and not myself ). I would give it some time on this server, test it out a little more, see if we might even want to try the highest AI at expert.

 

Imagine expert bots on MarioKart and orange, snipers for days

 

Woody, I would definitely keep the BOT AI at hard for now. Players who were on 2fort with the bots found them more challenging. I would also consider changing the bots on the other servers but leave it ultimately up to the players on those servers (i.e. orange or mariokart) becuase i don't know if bot behavior varies from map to map. Maybe in a couple weeks we could experiment with some expert BOT AI muhahahahahaha

 

I think this should be added to lazytown.

Their level of robots is good but would be nice to go to the next level.
