    Hello SPG members and Admins,

    First off I would like to welcome you to the VigilanteGamers Community. I'd like to start off with a message that Inflikted left on the SPG steam group page found [iurl=http://steamcommunity.com/groups/seriouspantsgaming#announcements/detail/1767931535239029681]HERE[/iurl]


    As most of you know SPG has merged with VG in hopes of reviving SPG's servers. I have currently left the SPG server names the same in order to regain the old player base. In time though they will be switched to VigilanteGamers. The Payload and Attack/defend servers have been restored to the best of Inflikted's and other's knowledge, if you see something wrong or missing in one of these servers please let me know. I encourage all previous members and admins to join the VigilanteGamers community as you will be welcomed with open arms. In time I hope to restore the old glory and fun times of the SPG servers. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to make a post in this thread!

    Heya Woody,

    First of all, glad to hear the SPG servers are coming back online, and it's my sincerest hope that the entirety of our old player-base decides to come back. I'd like to pose a question to you, if possible... will any of the other servers be coming back? In particular the CTF server. From my experience, it remained almost constantly full, and was once my absolute favorite server to join and wile away the hours. I've seen the Admin thread, and I'd be happy to re-apply for my old post, but most likely only if the CTF server comes back.

    Yes both the CP and CTF server will be returning also. I started with the A/D and Payload to not overload myself with too much work as I still have to maintain the rest of the community's servers, work full time, while being a full time college student :p. I hope that answers your question! If you have any others, ask away!

    That's wonderful news! Sounds like a very busy life to lead; is there any of that work in server maintenance you can delegate?

    There is always some server maintenance that can be delegated..... all depends on if I have time to teach that individual or not. As of right now we have a full dedicated box for the current community servers and VDS for the SPG servers. So most drastic changes and/or manual restarts come from myself RDP'ing into either of the them, while small changes can be done through FTP. In time I should have a C-Panel set up, which would allow me to delegate some responsibilities..... though our main issue right now is acquiring dedicated mature admins.

    I gotcha. Dunno if I'll have time to Admin like I used to, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. If I can find time between work and my family, I'd be happy to serve the combined VG/ SPG community.

    Hi Woody, its great to see the old SPG up and running again. If it can be as awesome as it was it will be great, thanks for what you have done. I was an admin on the old servers and would like to put my hand up for the position if it is available.
