The forums seem a little, well dead.

Yeah exactly what Gotcha also said if we as a community stay active and have active conversations on here then more will sooner or later join.

 

I think weekly events are the way to go. Members only games...etc.....Would certainly be up for that!

 

I like the suggestions of having an all member game and maybe weekly discussions. We should vote maybe a week before for an all member game, so everyone could make time

 

I like this idea. I would totally be down for a voting system so that we as a community can pick the specific members only game mode every week. Yeah the general discussion thread idea came from r/TF2 where they compare weapons daily to see which one is better and people give out reasons as too why one is better than the other, obviously if it's general discussion topics it won't necessarily be the same thing but I feel like some kind of weekly new topic (or daily) could prove to be successful in having people post there opinions here on the message board. And Gotcha made a fair point that with summer around members will be more active, and I agree completely. However I did enjoy one suggestion where we "force" new members to introduce themselves. Maybe that will edge them to be more active on here as well as in games.

 

I think both the Daily Discussions thread and the Weekly Gaming Events are great ideas!

 

ok I know this sounds a little kooky, but maybe we could like donate 1 thing from our back pack to whomever is in charge. then whoever wins the weekly gaming event gets to choose 1 thing from the community backpack

 

I don't have any ideas to throw around, but I support weekly gatherings and events.

 

We could spotlight a particular server each week with a focus on our members playing together on that server. We could also give out a prize based on participation that week in the spotlighted server.

 

Yeah that would be great I like the member participation would bring some fun back into some of the games. Would draw in even more new members as well.

Could we please throw dustbowl in there somewhere? It's been low players lately would be nice to hype it up a bit plus have some fun.

The previous group I was with was pretty successful at keeping a very active forum,
they rewarded members who posted with little badges & recognized people who were always greeting the new comers.
(but it was mandatory for current members in the group to keep active on the forums as well as the servers)
Also weekly polls kept it at least a little active even when it seemed to die down sometimes.
I personally love seeing new posts, I probably check the forums at least once a day to see if anything's new
