Do bots hone your skills or give unrealistic expectations?

Playing with bots is fun most of the time, but I don't really think they make me a better player. They obviously have some form of auto-aim which is either really good or really bad depending on the class or difficulty. They also wander aimlessly into sentries or stickies and don't remember that they're there. The medics are cancer either with the heavy or their damn needle guns.. Snipers usually either always headshot or always bodyshot depending on difficulty. I could go on but I don't like long reads :3 I wanna know what other people think, so I wanna know your opinion.

 

I somewhat agree with you, though I think their difficulty is just fine, before their difficulty level was increase I believe in the past week, were way too easy and weren't much of a challenge.

 

Bots are useless for getting better. The only way to get good at any game is to play against those that are better than you.

 

Well then what do you think is the point of bots? To kill when you're bored? xD

Bots make me feel better about myself tis true

 

To fill in empty space in servers, and to allow new players to understand maps.

 

Bots can be effective to learn a new skill, or the basics, in a game. For anything past that, just target practice I'd say.

 

Ya I use them to practice market gardening.

 

I say crank the bots AI all the way up

 

I just farm them with my sentry on 2 Fort
