I see a lot of people go in and out of the SK server, and some are not so pleasant so i just wanna help and get rid of the bad players that go through and help out also i spend a lot of time on this server Though i doesn't add up to a lot i just usually play for fun and i just want to see it be a fun server​

we dont have many people as admins on that server... should we start doing this again? The Scouts and Knives server is one of those servers where there is not much admins will do on it... for instance we dont have any rules so players can pretty much do what they want. aside from like filing a complaint against the odd hacker..

 

Well I guess but its still a server that has some rules so ya

 

SK is one of those servers where there are very lax rules, I cant explain a whole lot however if you have questions I would go to @Drac OPZ or @50Mhz (sorry guys had to put you on the spot), those are the two who give me a hand with CSS servers when I need it

 

Don't worry about putting us on the spot. There are rules, just like any other server, but the thing with sk is that it has and always will be a place where people talk trash. Just about every person that plays sk frequently thinks they are a god or some shit, so you can imagine the egos that go along with that. So with that said we react a little differently when it comes to punishments, of course we ban for cheating/hacking, but mute and gags are issued for racism or constant trolling, and that where the gray area comes into play, because everyone in sk is constant trolling. Knowing when that constant trolling is getting out of hand, is something you could only really realize if you have played sk for a while(like at least a year). Let me see what OPZ thinks about this, and I will get back to this app with an recommendation.

 

this is the main reason Even I dont have admin for the SK server. becasuse there reallly at the end of the day is never any admin'ing' to do!

 

i have handled trolling in the past and though my time on this server maybe little my time on COD is not . being an admin on a sandbox server is another thing too because people always love destroying other peoples stuff and like to get into fights like typical Gmod kids so there's that. plus not only was I an admin i was a co owner so ya but it was a friends server so gaining trust wasn't to hard (really don't know where i'm going with this)

 

i think we can all agree here, its not JUST about gaining trust here. its about the fact that the SK server is not necessarily a server to be putting non seasoned admins on. if oyu paly Z-mod then reapply for that. because that out of all 3 server we have currently on CsSource is where admin ship is properly needed. Just a suggestion though.. Cod experience is not CS experience nor is G-mod. yes yes one is a sandbox game but i think the whole point of the question, have you been admin before, which server.. is more CS>S Focused.

 

Well I have but it wasnt even up for 2 months it was a crackhouse server and not to many people were on it maybe like 10 people max and it wasn't even plus the owner basically gave out admin status though it was fun it was CSS server it also had a lot of cheater which was annoying so there's that but basically mainly gmod and non fps game admin is all I really ever had

Time for the verdict:

For now I'm going to have to deny this application.

Yes you do meet the requirements of admin for most of our servers. However SK Is a different story. I'll take some blame here because I told you to re-apply sooner then we would have liked.

Thing with this is that SK, no offense to the players there, but almost all of them are "not so pleasant" something else that would have been realized with time.

In a conversation between the Server Managers, and to sum it up the main thing is server experience. With that said I'm going to deny this application.
However ounce you have accumulated more experience on SK and have around 40-50 hours of playtime, feel free too re-apply, after you get fully intend with SK.
