Too bad. I enjoyed playing with this guy a couple nights ago. I understand the suspicion, but I don't think he deserved a ban yet. Wallhacking or not, he has obviously played the game more than the 5.2 hours reported on his Steam profile. But it lends him some credibility that he has ESEA and streams on Twitch (you can follow the link from his Steam profile to watch him playing more last night after he was banned here).

Regarding the demo, if he is wallhacking, then he does a better job of hiding it than most do. I'm not a VG member and certainly not an admin, but I have played here a lot the past couple months and was recently banned and unbanned myself. I just wish the bar for a permaban was set a little higher. Maybe require input from multiple admins first? This is just 3 minutes of gameplay with a couple suspicious moments but no (in my opinion) hard evidence of wallhacks.

I'd rather play with a wallhacker for a couple hours than risk legitimate good players getting banned.

ESEA and streaming have never been considered credible and you should know that. Furthermore, his last ESEA match was in 2018 and he had a negative KD in basically all of his matches.

He does however have 300+ hours in CSGO, which I would take as more credible evidence.

I went ahead and reviewed the demo and I didn't see any sign of wall hacks.

Yes if the admin isn't 100% certain the individual is hacking then a demo should be posted on the forums for review before any punishment is issued.

    Unbanned.

True haha. I was grasping at whatever I could because there was so little to go off of in the demo. My point was mostly that there was at least some more footage out there of him playing Source even if Twitch streams don't mean much.

There are plenty of situations where an immediate ban is warranted. But like Beats himself said in Discord, catching hackers can be tricky. Wallhacking accusations in particular need a little more deliberation IMO.
