I was wondering if anyone could recommend a cheap ass after market audio card.

Just literally 2 hours ago, I was watching a twitch stream and my audio went randomly muffled. The past 2 hours i've been pounding my fist and working my brain figuring out what happened. I put up a random video on my computer and i could hear the music playing but not the person actually singing the lyrics, was so strange. Anyways after doing some testing the past 2 hours I found out it was the card itself. I wiggled my headset cord and it would go back to normal and I got it working right now, but the funny thing is, it's not really plugged into the computer as it's just sitting in the port. If I barely bump it, it will fall out.

I can't really afford a card atm with personal family things going on I've been down to a few cents to my name. So if anyone could recommend one that would be great!

    Inventory:

Are you sure it's just not your 3mm port? It could be worn out.

You can get a simple 3mm to usb adapter to test this.

Well yeah, that's most likely the problem. Though in that case I would still have to get a sound card as how else would you fix that problem? Especially when I am currently using on board audio. :(

Do you only use headphones or do you have speakers as well? What headphones do you have?

Yeah, I was looking at the USB to 3.5 jacks on newegg last night as well and found one that was top rated

Cheaper on amazon, newegg wanted 3-4 bucks more or something like that. Anyways, I might just go with something like that then a sound card then. I wasn't sure how well they worked, but thanks Woody for the recommendation!
