I finally decided to upgrade my old ass cell phone and was looking at a few online. I seen the new galaxy s6 got really decent reviews. Anyways, that's what I have my mind set on, but there are like 3 different ones and I have the clueless idea what the difference really is.

    Galaxy s6 Edge
    Galaxy s6 Active
    Galaxy s6

I know the edge is just a different style but does anyone know the difference with active and a regular s6? It also seems s6 Active is like $100.00 less.

@Woody NEVER! I have had 3 different Iphones in the past and hated all them and they ran like crap. I switched to the android s3 and then the android s4 and never had an issue. I guess to each it's own, but i'll stick with android.

I upgrade my Galaxy S3 a couple weeks ago. I felt like getting away from Samsung and instead got the HTC One M9. It may not be the highest-tier phone, but it is certainly nice. Also, there are a couple promotions to bear in mind. They offer free 1-year "Uh-Oh Protection", which means they'll replace the phone if for any reason you crack the screen, suffer water damage, etc. They're also currently offering a promotional $100 credit to your Google Play Store wallet. Now, promotions should never be the only factor in making a decision like this, but I can say that I'm happy with what I got out of the deal.

AT&T is offering that promo? I didn't see that anywhere. I currently pay $6.00 a month to AT&T for phone protection which actually comes in handy as I have already gone through the process on getting a new s4 from dropping it in a mud puddle a few months back. They replaced the phone with no cost to me which was great. Right now, my upgrade with AT&T is free for most phones or a huge discount since my 2 year contract came up months back. Of course I have to sign a new 2 year contract for that discount or free phone, but I don't mind since I have had zero problems with them. Plus for signing up I am eligible for a free Tablet. There offering me like 5 different ones right now, one being the galaxy tab 10.4 or even a discount as well which I could go with the new galaxy tab s2 that comes out next week lol... Just not sure what to all do yet.

Might only be applicable to Verizon currently, but I thought I read somewhere that it was for all major carriers. Something to look into.

I had the S2, went to the S4 and now on the S6 and enjoy it. Super fast, great color and brightness, and size is perfect.

I looked at the S6 Edge but once you put a good cover on it, the edge part is covered up.

I almost went with the Note 4 as the Note 5 wasn't out yet, but overall, felt the S6 met my needs.

Great to hear Homer, I stopped in the AT&T store today on my way home. They explained the difference as I had no idea and apparently active means it is water resistant is really the only difference. Though it is cheaper which I still didn't understand and here apparently the reason why is because the active came out first making it a semi older version.

I am definitely upgrading to the s6 after messing around with it in the store it seems to be comfortable as the S4, but performs a bit faster. So I think i'd be happy with that, but i'm glad I never got the s5 as the s5 has so many negative reviews it's crazy.

Also, they are offering me a free Galaxy tab 10.4 for free which I can't really bitch about lol
