I may be inactive online far as steam games and/or others. My Hard drive been acting up for the past week and it finally just took a shit on me. By the time I get home from work Seagate company is closed so I am going to have to wait hopefully I get off work the next few days early to give them a call and hoeing as well they will replace the HD I currently have since it's not even a year old. Until then wish me luck and hope to be back soon!

That's good that Seagate is giving you another hard drive. Personally I usually go with Western Digital or Hitachi.

Yeah my last HD was western digital the reason behind choosing the seagate drive i believe was because it was on sale at a decent price. But no biggy as long as they replace it if anything happens to it is all that matters to me.

question for you guys since they want my old HD which has alot of personal information saved on it if i were to delete the partion before sending it to them would they be able to recover it at all or anything of the sort? Just curious behind it all

If you permanently delete all your partitions through command prompt it cannot be recovered if I remember correctly. However, if you just delete all your files and such it can be recovered.

so basically use command prompt as like i am reformatting, delete the partions and i should be good to go? I just have alot of buisness files and private information on the drive. Guess i'll have to do that before I send it back to them thank you :)

Run command prompt as administrator. Type disk part. Then list disk. Then type select disk #. Then select the partition you need. Then type delete partition override.
