Ahh it's so cool to see that about an item you have! Does anyone have any stories of items they've had or still have that are rare or uncommon to see? I know @DooM Fan has had several items with certain particularities!

Feel free to post your stories here! It doesn't have to be about some expensive item, I just want to hear about other cool items you guys have come across!

 

I opened the very first orbiting flames unusual when it was first released as an effect. You would not believe the messages and offers I had gotten in a few days time. After about a month later I decided to sell on sourceop forum. Made a good profit of course lol

 

My first "nicer" unusual was an orbiting fire dread hood, I like the effect!

Oh man, so many good stories tell, I don't really know which one to pick..... I guess the way I found my Field-tested Balloonicorn Crest high roller's rocket launcher should be a good one.
As some of you guys know, I collect skins that have a "balloonicorn" crest instead of the standard class ones on the Coffin Nail, High Roller's, and Top Shelf skins. I typically browse the scrap.tf bots and similar sites in order to find them. So one day I just finished up checking the skinbots and decided to go look at the hats. I noticed one of the hats was crafted by a member of VG, @Mr. Klaz. So I got it for the sheer novelty of it. Later on in the day, I decided to see what his backpack looked like. I noted that he had a High Roller's RL, and decided to check it out in-game. Amazingly, it had the crest! I added him and offered him some other glitched items in exchange, and he accepted it.
