It's been over a month since I was muted. I understand I'm not allowed to play music in the server anymore, I just wish someone had told me this first prior to muting me. I'm sorry for cocking an attitude with you Woody but I will always, respectfully, disagree with the fact that I was never even given a legitimate warning to begin with. You and I both know I would have turned my music off if so. I have turned my music off on request in the past for Opz, you can ask him, at least until he said that I could play it again (because other people were asking for me to and I was getting upset with him).

 

I just seen your old post and read it a week ago. I seen you were perm muted. I don't understand why woody didn't ask you to turn it off. Either way you should know better for spamming music! Just because someone else does (Pharm) and gets away with it somewhat doesn't mean you can break the rules either.

That's like me robbing a bank and getting away with it and then you decide to go do the same thing and get caught. Shouldn't break the rules no matter what and should always follow them to the full extent otherwise of course sooner or later this will happen. Anyways I agree you should of been asked by Woody to turn it off, in addition to that though if others were asking you to turn it off you should have listened to that as well. Who cares if there a personal mute system or not respect all players in our servers next time.

Last thing to be said if I hear you spamming music in our servers again I won't intend to ask you to turn it off it'll be another perm mute if Woody decides to give you another chance. Good luck!

 

Haze, if you read the first thing that Woody said in your original appeal, you were asked by a number of people to turn it off. It shouldn't take an admin to ask you to stop spamming the server if it's annoying players.

Your ban wasn't perm until you coped an attitude.

I would not expect this over-turned.

 

I wouldn't play music.. Anytime that anyone of significance asked me to turn my music off I did. I didn't realize it was such a big deal, even you had allowed me to continue playing it in the past along with every other admin I knew of. If anyone had even hinted at me being muted for playing music I would have stopped immediately.

I was threatened by one person (that I had never seen before in my life) "If you don't turn your music off I'll get an admin in here." To which I responded, "Okay, go ahead" and then I was instantly muted. Only one person had threatened me to turn my music off, and I agreed that I would if he got an admin in there like he threatened he would, but I never had the chance to.

I got an attitude because I'm upset that I'm being treated so poorly by everyone here when I don't think I even did anything wrong in the first place. If anyone I actually knew asked me to turn my music off, even if they aren't an admin, I always have and I think a lot of people can vouch for that.

Also, not to mention, I have been a dedicated player on the server for years. I've made it to the top 10 on the server, more than once, and have always done my best to support a positive in-game experience. I thought playing good music for everyone on the server (like other people do) would only add to that, and no one ever mentioned anything to the contrary. I acknowledge that some people disliked my music, but I muted every person that I ever saw complaining about it so they no longer had to listen to it. With that being said, I do know many players that continued to ask for me to DJ so I never realized it was creating such a huge disruption on the server. Again, no one ever even told me that.

If I am (somehow) unmuted I won't ever play anymore music, I just want you to understand that all you had to do was ask.

 

It shouldn't have to be someone you know to ask you to turn the music off . If it is affecting their game play and they ask you , next time just turn it off .

 

Haze first off the sk server for VG has only been up for like a year, so no way you have been playing on there for "Years". Secondly it shouldn't have to take someone you personally know to ask you to turn off the music and for you to listen. If anyone asks you to turn it off you shouldn't have to wait for an admin to even ask you or an admin to even join the server. The server rules specifically say respect all players. It's really not that hard to turn your music off if "ANYONE" asks. Since you DON'T think you've done anything wrong still, I say you should stay perm muted till you take a little time out to understand and think more clearly on your actions of what you've done wrong.

 

Maybe not, but after being told by every single admin I talked to that I was allowed to play music (and watching Dre completely ignore any and all requests to turn his music off) I thought I might be allowed to call what I thought was a bluff. I was threatened by a random User who didn't even ask me to turn the music off, he just threatened to turn if off or he'd get an admin. After quickly muting him so my music would no longer disturb him, I called (what I thought was) his bluff because, at the time, I was under the impression I had talked to all the admin's and gotten their approval. Honestly, I expected to never hear from him again after I immediately muted him so he would no longer be able to hear the music. Perhaps, I thought an admin would come in, see who it is, and leave me alone as they have done many times in the past. Worst case scenario, they would ask me to turn off my music. But to sit under another alias only so you can instantly mute/gag me, with no warning at all, is really unfair in my opinion. Especially when you understand that all of your admin's have previously assured me that what I'm doing is perfectly okay.

I don't plan on ever playing anymore music, because I'm obviously not allowed to. I just really wish that someone actually told me that so I could have just done that instead of having to be muted/gagged forever as a result of it.

How can you say that when that's the precedent that had been set by every single admin (including yourself)? I was told by every single admin that I was 100% allowed to play music, I have specifically asked almost every single one of you this exact question to be sure. So when JohnDoe123 tells me to stop or he'll get an admin, why am I not allowed to ask him to get an admin? To be honest I was actually under the impression that someone (like you) would join the game, see who it was, and leave me alone. Worst case scenario, I thought you may ask me to turn it off but that too would have been no problem at all. I never expected to be instantly muted and gagged with no chance to even turn it off after that.

You've already mentioned Dre, so let's talk about how he constantly spams and countless players ask him to turn it off but he's allowed to ignore every single one of them. This is the precedent that you guys set... And the fact that I even responded by saying that I would turn my music off if he got an admin, like he threatened me he would, is far more than anyone else would have done. It's just sad to think that Woody was sitting there, under another alias, the entire time only to entrap me into doing something that he knows I did everyday in the server. Something that I was told specifically, multiple times, by every admin I talked to was okay. The idea that I could even ever be muted for something like this never even entered my mind. In my eye's everyone was perfectly okay with my music until all of the sudden I was permanently muted with absolutely no warning(s). Not just no warning(s) that day, but no warning(s) ever. In fact, as I keep saying, the only discussion I ever had with any admin on the server (in regards to the subject) was purely positive, reassuring me that it was okay I play music.

All you had to do was say otherwise and it never would have happened again.

But okay.. If you think I need more time to think about the fact that I was under the impression I was in 100% compliance with all admin's wishes, after specifically asking every single one of you if I could play my music and being told yes, then so be it. After a month of sitting on my thumb there's not much more to be learned from this situation on my end. In my eye's, at the time, I was following every single rule previously setup for me (as I always do). I firmly believe I never broke any rules on the server and always followed admin's orders. Had I been told my music was becoming a disturbance it would have never happened again, but that's not the case. Instead I was told, until that day, that my music was perfectly okay and I had nothing to worry about in this regard. However, now I see that it was causing a problem, unfortunately though it also appears as though I've been ambushed by you all into a situation that you won't even allow me to apologize for. Well, I tried.

P.S. I still don't even understand why I ever was gagged. I've never in my life abused the chat system, yet now (as a result of this questionable situation) I'm gagged as well. I've been completely cut off from any in-game social interaction for following (what I thought was) the rules.

I will respond to say and adjust what you had said Haze. I never confirmed it was okay for you to play music in our servers non stop etc. I had mentioned to you after been confronted and asked if you could play music and I responded in return yes it's fine alongs the others don't mind it. You then stated about Pharmacist to me and I said we let him play because I rarly hear people asking him to turn his music off or wine about it. If he ever did I always asked Pharm to turn it off in which you can even confront Pharm about that! Anyways on a side not this thread was not about him it was about you and YOUR punishment! Like I said it's like me robbing a bank getting caught and then bringing your name into it and blaming it all on you. When you were asked to turn it off and threatened to get an admin you should of sent a admin a message right away to confirm your suspicions on the rules. Thanks.
