Scoutsknivez rotation or rtv map change?!?

Let me start this off by saying I've been playing ScoutzKnivez for around 10 years or more. Since the original CS. The past, I would say 3-4 years Scoutzknivez has been dying off slowly. To which our server has also been dying off here and there.

The other thing I have realized is I never ever see any of our own community members or community players in general come and play inside the ScoutzKnivez server. I am going to go ahead and go on a limb here and say it's due to they're probably not the best players or think it's too competitive to play in there as most old school players don't really give new players a chance.

Due to this it came to mind since ScoutzKnivez is dying anyways why not switch our server to a possible rotation or even a RTV to give new players a peace in mind of coming and having fun. I don't want new players to turn away from enjoying the server if they can't even have fun or a chance to really play.

With that being said I had Woody add (two) maps to our server recently and it's shown a good increase in the numbers. At the moment it is only set that I can change it manually through admin commands. Now since i've been changing it to have fun i've seen a increase in numbers of players coming around our original ScoutzKnivez map.

Now like I said we're thinking of a rotation or RTV server. If we were to do this we need a few other maps that could be good to throw on the server. If anyone has any ideas or maps they've played before ScoutzKnivez related please post them here. Thanks!

I almost forgot about this since I haven't been on sk that often since I returned from vacation. Today a few people messages me asking if I have heard anything back in implementing this onto our server. I was thinking RTV since that's what the public is asking for. Could we implement this @Woody I am going to try and find a few other popular older sk maps to throw up as well, I don't want too many, but then again I can sit and watch and see what most people pick when rtv to see what are popular and remove the unpopular.

Do we have a manager that has access to the servers to add maps etc as well? Probably would be easier for testing, adding, removing maps. Anyways, Let me know please, thanks!

 

Well for instance as an example i got like 5 ppl asking about it, but main thing is tumac a regular player in the server sent me a message asking and i said i forgot about it and would hop on and ask then 5 seconds later says "the reason i asked cause 2 ppl just came in typing rtv asking for different sk maps" and i was like oh yeah i see that very often. We talked and agreed we think it would keep "new" people coming back into the server plus attract also our own community members. Most community members i seen come into our sk leave after 2-3 rounds cause there horrible at it and no one gives them a chance. I believe implimenting new maps would possibly give new people so sort of chance if not even just add some fun to it for them so they don't always end up leaving right away. I mean like I said in my first post also, I believe sk is dead and i think that adding rtv would possibly just keep it more populated as well and bring ppl around the SK enviroment.

Well, the RTV hasn't taken effect quite yet. I've been waiting for Woodys decision on the matter and if its a yes we will have to wait till he has time to add RTV etc.

 

Here is a few screenshots from earlier this evening. When I first joined our original sk server it only had 5 ppl 1 in spectate and then a 2v2 going on. I hoped in spectate and was talking and 1-2 others joined then asked me to give guns out. I gave a few awps out for fun etc. After that we got bored so I figured to switch it to the SK2 map instead. Not even 5 minutes after switch we had almost a full entire sk server.

This shows 75% people says yes to adding RTV. Voteing when on such as this: Question: add rtv to server? Answers: 1. imgay 2. yes 3. no to make it a fair choice.

 

we had a lot more people but this as you can tell from the timer was only 10 minutes after map change... but near midway there was 12 ppl on each team i didn't get a screenshot of that.

 

did we get the RTV in game?

 

Not yet, Woody has a good bit on his plate. In time it will come.
