So I recently got into sci-fi survival games, and a few really stuck out to me, mostly indie games, but still look amazing. The problem is that alot of games that I want to get now I need a better graphics card for. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should get? Also, heres my setup, not sure what is and isn't compatible.
A basic sum up of what I got- http://prntscr.com/d6ifty

    In depth
    Processor- http://prntscr.com/d6ie90
    Motherboard- http://prntscr.com/d6iefs
    Power supply- http://prntscr.com/d6ienb
and about 8 GB of RAM
And here is an example of what I want to run-
    • Processor: Intel i5 | 3.2GHz
    • Memory: 4 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 680
    • Storage: 5 GB available space

    Any help would be appreciated

    I recommend

Nvidia EVGA Geforce 1060 or 1080

If I was you I'd switch to a intel mobo. AMD is cheaper, but far less better for gaming.

Honestly AMD is fine for gaming as long as the processor is fast enough, I built my tower 3 years ago with an AMD FX-4350 and it still handles things fine. I've had to upgrade the graphics card though, but that is what games usually rely on the most. As Drac said, I would also recommend the GTX 1060. It runs very similarly to the 970 that I have, but you can find a 1060 for around $200. I'm not as familiar with AMD cards, but their newer cards seem to run pretty well price/performance-wise also. They just run hotter.

I am currently running AMD FX-6100 and it does not handle certain games at all. Actually I disgree, most fps games are more cpu intensive rather then relying upon the gpu. It all falls on what games you are playing for what could work or what is better.

If you are going to be playing Battlefield games, or high FPS related games as such then you are not going to want AMD. AMD has twice as less Cache on most of all there CPUs, not including less memory bandwidth compared to Intel which causes you to max out faster. The only upside with AMD is they are also fairly cheaper. I've used two different radeon cards of theirs and each have burned out on me within a year due to overheating. They have always been known to run very hot, you need at least 4 12mm fans hitting on them at all times.

For example I have Battlefield 4, my cpu is a 6 core 3.30 ghz, it literally maxes out at 90-100% because battlefield is such a cpu intensive game. With Counter Strike Go, my cpu jumps usually up to 50-60% depending what map I play. A buddy of mine helped me test back when I played Battlfield 4, he had the Haswell Intel i7-5820 which is equivalent to the cpu I am running. His cpu stayed around 40-50% on BF4 compared to 90-100%.

Now if you are going to be playing MMO etc, you can easily get away with a AMD CPU because they rely on the GPU.
Just my opinions with testing and what i've ran over the years of gaming.

I would recommend hitting your pc with a wrench till it expands into two gatling gun barrel, tripod mounted gun. Get more scrap then, and make a NASA grade compy!
