Weekly dodgeball tournaments [2FORT]

If we did dodgeball tourny's on the weekends on 2FORT (pyro's airblasting a soldiers rockets between the battlements, last man standing wins), and maybe gave away like a ref, or something per win, and did it like every thiry minutes, do you think that would be fun? If we ended up giving away less than like 20 ref per weekend I would be down to fund it

 

I like the idea of tfdb BUT what about for a weekend switching over a less used server, i.e. turbine or the pl map, to a tfdb server? I don't know how hard that would be. Just a thought

 

Sounds pretty fun, you'd have to have people around to enforce the rules. Also about the other maps, you'd need an area that would facilitate "dodgeball"

 

Yeah, would need an admin or member to be on to either tally up the winners and enforce the rules, or to just be there to give out the prizes. 2fort just seems like an optimal place as it has a good dodgeball area, and is usually pretty populated.

Also the thing about doing it on 2fort instead of a real dodgeball server is we wouldn't want to be spamming dodgeball games, but spread them out to keep people playing longer, kinda like the unusual giveaway questions. Maybe we could have a timer for this as well, saying how long till the next match?

 

I didn't mean use the maps as is but set up a server with various tfdb maps that could rotate. If the server could keep player stats and then at the end of the time frame, i.e. 8 hours, player with the most points wins or to keep interest, top 10 players with points are put into a drawing. Either idea sounds good to me - top player wins or random drawing from top players.

If you would like I can modify the 2fort map to better accommodate dodgeball, o could also work out the stuff for a dodgeball server, and give em to ya Woody. If you would be interested, I've made one of those before, have the server stuff siting somewhere on my computer just have to find what computer and where I put the stuff for it

Really meant for it to played on the regular 2fort server, just to get more people to play on it lol, and it could be some fun

 

Maybe members could have priority aswell if it fills up, would get people on the forums

 

or, would it be better to do hats worth 2 refined, but maybe only like once an hour? Just like cheap craft hats, would be more instantly gratifying than just plain old metal lol

 

What I could do for it is maby make it for only on the bridges, then as points are scored more of the map opens up (so to speak, might take me a bit longer, but I think I can pull it off)

 

k, I have like 20 craft hats in my inventory, if/when this gets set up whoever is doing it just steam msg me. I would also be down to use them for other giveaways, the dodgeball thing was just an idea, could do random other stuff as well.
