    I'm finally 18! feels great to be free of the parents, now just gotta get finished with school and head to the Air Force

    but not nearly as many as the marines and the airforce. in the army they are few and far between.

    its human resources. i can get stationed anywhere. army bases air force bases navy bases. i can use it on the civilian side if i get out. i got a 99 overall for the asvab.

    Good Luck with joining the Air Force. They got the hottest and brightest women. My brother-in-Law is an airman and stationed @Nellis in North Las Vegas.

    Not to burst your bubble or anything but I don't really consider 18 to be adult.
    You think you're free from your parents but most likely you'll end up relying on them for another 2-3 years.
    As for the airforce, congratulations.
    No better workplace than a military workplace, regardless of task.

    No bubble busted, As for my parental situation, I've been on my own since I was about 16, My parents were very abusive, and they were very controlling, so I decided To just leave. As for the Air Force, seemed like it had the best option for what I wanted to do.

    Clit Squiggle just because we're 18 does not mean we're adults, yes i agree but for some of us 18 is like adults, because we have a mind set and we know which path to take and either has already gone down that path or is going to go down that path. whereas other 18 year olds like to munch off their parents wealth and stay stupid forever.

    Uhm I think Basic is down in San Antonio, Texas at Sheppard Air Force Base. But I do live in Wyoming just North of Colorado haha, and good point Jay.
