I am curious if anyone has any recommendations on gaming/computer chairs. I bought one from office max about a year or so ago that is well padded but the way it's made it doesn't support the back very well.

I have recently started gaining lower back pain and was in search of one that would support my back very well. I heard a brand from someone before that is famous apparently for office chairs that are very well padded, but for some reason I can't remember what it was. I tried running searches online and god I swear everywhere recommends the dxracers chairs anymore, however i'm not going to spend 400.00 on a dang chair lol.

I am curious about this also, as I get back pain a lot with my current chair.

  3. well, i play in my kitchen, at a wooden trestle table, sitting on a wooden bench with no padding. if back pain bothers you, definitely do NOT use my set up XD

I know that feeling. When I first moved for the first 2 years at my house I played at the bar just on a stool with zero backing. After an hour of gaming my back was so stiff lol

I did research on many of sites the past hour or so on and off and I came upon a ton of information.

I am in need of the lumbar support as I stated before so here is a few that was mentioned in several posts that are very well rounded for my situation. Now don't get me wrong these are somewhat out of my price range, but worth a thought to keep in mind.

    Ikea Markus

    Aeron

Yeah I came across a few recommendations for those as well but they're so pricey it is hard to justify.

Yeah, i'm really thinking of trying the Marcus though since it's the cheapest of the three.

I bought a Herman Miller chair years ago as I hated buying crappy chairs that broke or the hydraulics didn't hold. Not cheap but its held up and cofy to sit in for hours.
Now for you maybe consider using a workout ball to strengthen your back?

I've tried different therapies throughout the years. I was born with an extra vertebrae and also have a growth disorder which smashed two of the vertebrates together. I seen several specialist for my back including a osteopathic and they couldn't do anything for me other then giving me a shot in the ass to relieve the pain. In the end my back felt decent for the past few years till recently which is why my judgement falls under it being sitting in this chair for a few hours or so at a time. Especially the chair is falling apart and has like very little to no padding anymore. If I had the money I would definitely go with a herman miller as i've been told so many good things about them.

I do that for most of my games with my controller but FPS a controller won't cut it.

If I tell them it's for home usage they're going to just laugh at me and throw my request out the window. I'll most likely just go to a few stores and test chairs out and see if any supports the lumbar for temporary till I can afford a higher end one. Appreciate the help though!

Nah, I lay sideways on my couch and use a keyboard with a mouse on an ottoman next to it, chillin' and PCing

How to even manage to do this even at a younger age I do not see how that can be managed. That would hurt so bad after a while lol
